Closing of Kemptville, Alfred agriculture schools confirmed

OTTAWA — A budget deficit at their parent university is forcing the closure of Eastern Ontario’s only two agricultural schools. The University of Guelph was expected to issue a statement at noon Wednesday confirming the closings of its campuses in Kemptville and Alfred, Ont. Senior officials of the university were at the campuses to discuss the decision with students and staff.
