Ivaco to roll out new equipment at mills

OTTAWA — Ivaco Rolling Mills is preparing to update its L’Orignal steel and rod mill with new technology, with help from a $7-million loan from the Ontario government. The goal of the $80-million modernization project is to increase capacity and produce higher-quality steel products while operating more efficiently, using fewer raw materials and reducing particulate emissions.
