你一般在哪个油站加油?

也许你在许多不同油站加油，但一般人们有一个偏爱的，在那个加油站加的比较多。

俺是这样的:

能加40升时,去Canadian Tire加正好40升,拿$1.60或$1.20回扣,运气不好时只有$0.80.
否则能加$10,$20,$30的油时,去Pioneer, 加正好$10,$20,$30的油,固定小票$0.1, $0.2, $0.3 + 1%信用卡回扣
否则去PetroCanada, 拿1%点回扣+1%信用卡回扣.

因为不同站的油价不一样,心里就要换算一下,考虑回扣后的实际价格.
比方说如果PetroCanada比Sunnco, Esso贵0.6分的话,因为现在油价是71分,在PetroCanada能拿2%回扣,在Sunnco, ESSO只有1%(俺不集airmile和esso点),算下来除去折扣后Sunnco和Esso比PetroCanada每升还贵0.11分.

2% discount in Petro? I never heard that.

That is not a discount. If you fill at Petro, you can collect petro-points, which equal to 1% of the money you spend on Gas, plus 1% reward points on your creadit card.

That is not a discount. If you fill at Petro, you can collect petro-points, which equal to 1% of the money you spend on Gas, plus 1% reward points on your creadit card.

I just searched the petro-points web, it said

$1 expense will get 10 points

18000 petro points will get $10 free gas.

So you will expense $1800, to get only $10 free gas. Long way to go!

习惯了只要几秒钟就能估计个八九不离十,差一点也没关系,俺不求最佳解.

平时很多地方注意一点也能省下不少汽油, 比如说在路边停下买东西,回来再发动之前应该先看一下后视镜有没有车靠近,再看一眼前面是不是红灯,等到能马上走时再发动,也许就能省十几秒的油.

所以俺的车现在半高速半市区百公里只要6.5升哩.

$1 expense will get 10 points

18000 petro points will get $10 free gas.

So you will expense $1800, to get only $10 free gas. Long way to go!

Because $1 expense at ESSO will get 1 ESSO point.

300 ESSO points can get one CAR WASH(worth 6.99)

So $300 expense at ESSO get VALUE (6.99+TAX), which equal to 8.03

That is 2.67%

If you add 1% discount from credit company, you are getting 3.67% discount value.

ESSO is my favarite.

Because $1 expense at ESSO will get 1 ESSO point.

300 ESSO points can get one CAR WASH(worth 6.99)

So $300 expense at ESSO get VALUE (6.99+TAX), which equal to 8.03

That is 2.67%

If you add 1% discount from credit company, you are getting 3.67% discount value.

Sounds like a nice deal.

俺的信用卡本来就有1%的回扣,所以加PetroCanada的点扣是2%.
Esso那个洗车对俺没吸引力,即使俺哪天不想自己洗,也有$3的手洗站.
