The magazine has picked the best used sedans, SUVs and small cars in four different price ranges

  • Following its helpful lists of best and worst new cars for 2014, Consumer Reports has also released its list of best used cars for every budget.

Toyota (including its Lexus and Scion brands) dominates the Consumer Reports list with 11 models. The magazine has picked the best used sedans, SUVs and small cars in four different price ranges. To be picked for the list, the cars must have scored high on reviews when they were new and have also proven to have above-average reliability for the model years picked. Each car also comes with electronic stability control, “a proven lifesaver,” CR says. “Consider these the used cars we would recommend to our family and friends.”
