Two Ottawans have been quietly appointed to the board of the province’s gambling agency, part of the effort to give new direction to an outfit left adrift when Premier Kathleen Wynne gave up on her predecessor’s aggressive plan to expand gambling in Ontario. Joanne Lefebvre of the Regroupement des gens d’affaires de la capitale nationale, Ottawa-Gatineau’s francophone chamber of commerce, was appointed to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.’s board at the end of last year. Accountant and management consultant Lori O’Neill was appointed in February, both of them without ceremony. They’re part of a complete replacement of the board that supervises the agency that runs Ontario’s casinos and lotteries, following a mass resignation last spring.
