Canada Post raised the price of stamps by 35 per cent Monday, to 85 cents per stamp if bought in bulk, or $1 if a single first-class stamp is purchased, up from 63 cents. The announcement that stamp prices would increase came in December at the same time as Canada Post revealed plans to reduce door-to-door mail delivery service to households still receiving it by one-third.
