Dear International Student
This year the Canadian Holiday of Easter will be the weekend of the 18th to the 20th of April which is celebrated with chocolate rabbits and decorated eggs.
Join us on Saturday April the 19th from 2:30 PM to 8:00PM for an afternoon of games, music, international food, and learn about the traditions of this holiday and the ‘real’ meaning of this festive occasion.
Come and bring your friends
Cost is 5$
Pickup will be
At theUniversityof Ottawa in the lower level of the University Centre by the Alumni Auditorium at 2:30PM
Or
At Carleton University inside the front door of the Minto Building (where the O-train and busses stop) at 2:30PM
Or
At Algonquin College inside the front door of Building C (the main entrance) at 2:30PM
Come prepared to sing or play a musical instrument,or show us some talent you have.
Please register with Bev at fawottawa@gmail.com if you plan to come, and if you will sing, play an instrument, or do another talent.
Please let Bev know where you will be for pickup.
There will be a short message explaining the religious significance of this holiday with some ‘Christian songs’
This event is sponsored by ‘Friends Around the World’ which is a Christian club working on Campuses in Ottawa. Our desire is to offer our friendship, make you feel welcome, and introduce you to Canadian culture and traditions while you are visiting Canada.
