Ottawa Sgt. Steven Desjourdy found guilty of discreditable conduct for cellblock strip search

An Ottawa police officer has been found guilty of discreditable conduct for his actions relating to an infamous cellblock strip search. Sgt. Steven Desjourdy was acquitted of the criminal charge of sexual assault in 2013 for the same incident but began an internal police disciplinary hearing in January to determine whether he breached Ottawa police policy at the time of the now notorious incident by waiting several hours to issue disposable clothing to a woman he had left topless and in urine-soaked pants.
