A unique plan to add a second storey to a New Edinburgh home, in keeping with recently-uncovered original drawings, was approved by the city’s built heritage subcommittee on Thursday. The house at the corner of Crichton Street and Dufferin Road was built as a one-storey bungalow in 1945 with a secondary unit in the basement.
