CBC Ottawa to lose six jobs as part of companywide cuts

CBC Ottawa will lose six positions as part of the massive cuts announced this week to eliminate 657 jobs over the next two years and trim $130 million from the annual budget at the national network. Regional director Jane Anido told Ottawa staff Friday that four jobs in the newsroom, a web developer position and CBC’s Bandwidth program hosted by Amanda Putz will be cut.
