Ottawa school bus companies threaten to halt service

OTTAWA — Ottawa’s two major school bus companies have backed out of contract talks for next school year, threatening to abandon as many as 800 bus routes in September. Stock Transportation and First Student Canada supply most of the drivers and buses to English school boards in Ottawa. They also serve Upper Canada District schools south of Ottawa and Stock also has runs to French schools.
