Police officers charged with disciplinary offences save girl’s life

Two Ottawa police officers who have been charged with disciplinary offences were part of a team of officers who rescued a young woman in mental distress from the Rideau River on Monday night, earning a commendation from the chief of police. In an email sent out to his officers, Ottawa police Chief Charles Bordeleau said he wanted to highlight the “brave actions and dedications” of patrol cops on duty Monday night.
