The chronic petty criminal who attacked an OC Transpo bus driver is a “pathetic individual” who is illiterate, homeless and of sub-standard intelligence, an Ottawa judge said Wednesday. But in an unusual move, Justice David Paciocco sentenced 51-year-old Patrick Guitard to six months jail — half that sought by the man’s own lawyer.
