Tweed Marijuana makes private shares placement worth $17M

Tweed Marijuana Inc. has entered an agreement that will see the Smith Falls’ firm raise as much as $17.25 million through a private placement of its shares. The company, which trades publicly on the Toronto Venture Exchange under the ticker TWD, said the agreement will see as many as 4.7 million common shares sold for a price of $3.20 each to a syndicate of underwriters led by GMP Securities L.P. An option for an additional 703,125 common shares could raise the company an additional $2.25 million.
