Dear International Student
The spring weather has finally arrived and the early spring flowers will be blooming in the next 2 weeks (hopefully) as a sign that the warmer weather is soon to follow. We have an outdoor Scavenger Hunt on Parliament Hill and the downtown area planned for you for Saturday May 10th from 2PM to 8PM. Come and learn about the history of Canada and the nations capital.
Come and bring your friends to this fun and historically educational activity.Cost is 5$
PICKUP WILL BE
At the University of Ottawa on the lower level of the University Centre by the Alumni Auditorium at 2PM
Or
At Carleton Universityinside the front door of the Minto Building at 2PM
Or
At Algonquin College inside the front door of Building C at 2PM
PLEASE BE AT THE PICKUP BEFORE THIS TIME, so that we are ready at 2PM.We do not want to leave anyone behind
Supper will be provided after the activity.
There will be alternate plans in case of bad weather.
Please reply to Bev at fawottawa@gmail.com if you plan to come
Send the names and e-mails of friends who will come with you
and indicate where you will be for pickup.
Indicate also if you will have your own car so I can send instructions to all drivers.
Young children can participate in this event, but since there will be a lot of walking, young children need to be in a stroller, or you can do the historical route as a family and stop when the children are tired.
This event is sponsored by ‘Friends Aroundthe World’ which is a Christian group working on campus. Our desire is to introduce you to our Canadian culture, and to make you feel welcome in Canada, to help you to make new friends, and to assist you in any way we can to help you adjust to a strange and different culture. The faith and culture of all will be respected.
