Garbage-can wielding robber gets 18 months for smash and grabs

\ A thief who smashed his way into a string of shops with a mallet then used a garbage can to haul away what he stole was sentenced to 18 months in jail Tuesday. Richie Kasztelanski’s crime spree came to an inglorious end in the early morning hours on March 12 when Ottawa police officers tailed him to a M & M Meat shop on Montreal Road.
