Entrust is currently looking for a Mobile Software Developer with passion to learn, and the dedication to immediately contribute to the development and innovation of our industry-leading product solutions. This is a fulltime position to be located in our Ottawa, Ontario office.
Purpose of Job:
This role will challenge the successful candidate to design, develop, enhance and maintain mobile applications with focus on iOS, keeping in mind the quality, usability, and robustness required for an mobile applications that need to interact with a multi-tiered backend infrasctucture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform key portions of mobile applications development, including analyzing requirements, designing, coding, testing, documenting and supporting.
• Work from multi-disciplinary teams to create functional software designs and implementations of innovative security features.
• Contribute to the development of the tools and processes to maximize efficiency throughout the development lifecycle
Education, Experience, and Specialized Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience developing and supporting mobile iOS applications.
• Solid understanding of iOS development environment – xCode.
• Proficiency in the Objective-C language
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture and pattern.
• Experience in building moderately complex iOS applications
• Experience with build, deployment and test automation.
• Excellent English language communication skills (other languages considered an asset) .
The following experience would be considered an asset:
. Experience with Mac OS X development
. Experience with Android or other mobile os development
• Building web applications utilizing HTML5, jQuery, jQuery UI, and other Javascript or CSS frameworks
• Building web applications to run in multiple datacenters, utilizing content delivery networks to provide optimized world-wide performance
