It’s been more than 15 years since the costs of maintaining Highway 174 was forced on the taxpayers of Ottawa, and the Progressive Conservatives have decided that’s long enough. If elected, the Tories have promised to resume responsibility of the highway that runs though Orléans and Cumberland and continues along into the eastern Ontario United Counties of Prescott and Russell.
