City finance committee approves Innovation Centre plan

A new Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards is one step closer after the city’s finance and economic development committee approved the $30-million plan on Tuesday. The plan, which must still be approved by city council, would transform the run-down 46,000-square-foot municipal works building at Bayview Yards into meeting and event space, a digital media centre and offices for both budding entrepreneurs and established companies.
