Longueuil police are searching for Jian Ping Li, 42, and her six-month-old son, who disappeared from their home on Sabourin Crescent in Brossard Wednesday at about 9:40 a.m.
Her husband returned in the afternoon and found her gone and the mother and child have not been seen since.
Longueuil police spent parts of Thursday and Friday searching the area by helicopter, canine unit and even looked into the nearby river for any sign of the duo. Their search was fruitless and was suspended after nightfall.

“We've verified the hospitals, motels, hotels, taxi services, transport services in the area. We've gone to the local stores to verify the security videos to see if she's gone into one of these stores. So far it's not conclusive, we haven't found her,” said Longueuil police representative Marc David.
Li is not considered depressed or suicidal.
Li stands 5’0” (1.52 m) and weighs 143 lb (65 kg) She speaks Mandarin and has shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes. She wears glasses and might be wearing a long coat and yellow runners.
Her baby is also Asian in appearance.

A reward is being offered for any information leading to the discovery of a woman and baby who disappeared from Brossard last week.
Jian Ping Li, 42, was last seen at her home on Sabourin Cres. in Brossard at 9:40 a.m on Wednesday April 30.
When her husband came home around 2:30 p.m. that day Li and their six-month-old baby boy were gone.

The case is considered a total mystery.
Yan Yang, a friend who was amongst the last to speak to her, said that Li, "was very grateful because her husband came back to her. She was grateful the family was together again, like God heard her prayers."
Her family church is united in its prayers, according to Kang Liu of the Montreal Chinese Alliance Grace Church.
"There are almost 100 people praying for her," Liu told CTV Montreal Wednesday.
After searching the nearby area with a helicopter and dogs last week, police set up a command centre on Sabourin near Stravinski Rd. in Brossard on Wednesday.
Officers hope that by publicizing Li's disappearance they will find someone who can give them a lead as to where she went.
Sun Youth is also offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the discovery of Li and her baby.
