Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson will proclaim Tuesday, May 13, Ottawa Walking Day and will be joined by Councillor Mathieu Fleury, member of the Ottawa Board of Health, Dr. Vera Etches, Associate Medical Officer of Health and Graham Fawcett, President of the Ottawa International Walking Festival.
In recognition of Ottawa Walking Day, they will then join partners from several walking organizations, and more than 200 people taking part in five Ottawa International Festival Walks along the Rideau Canal.
