The Quyon ferry is still closed, but operators expect it to reopen for business June 13.
Electrical work on the ferry boat is causing a slower start to the season.
Lights and panels are being wired daily, plumbing is complete and cables have been run between the Ontario terminal and the ferry.
But electrical supplies are still causing a delay.
“Nobody wants to cross the river more than we do,” said operators in a statement on the ferry’s website, where further updates are expected to be posted.
