A big “thank you” is coming to Ottawa. Literally.
Huge letters will be projected on the front of Centre Block on Parliament Hill from June 3 to 9, from 9 p.m. to midnight, spelling out a message of appreciation from the French Embassy.
The message thanks Canada for its commitment to the liberation of France during the Second World War, 70 years ago in 1944.
The French Embassy is also organizing an outdoor exhibit showing photos of Canadian veterans.
Photos will be displayed at the gates of the embassy at 44 Sussex Dr. on June 4-30.
