Two people suffered minor injuries after their car slammed into a moose Thursday night on Highway 417, near Boundary Road, according to Ottawa Fire Services.
Firefighters arrived on scene shortly after 9:45 p.m. and found one vehicle off the road in trees and a moose on the side of the road. Early reports suggested the driver may have been trapped, but did not need to be extricated from the vehicle.
The crash was believed to be in the eastbound lanes, just east of Boundary Road.
