Firefighters are battling a two-alarm brush fire that broke out Friday evening in Stittsville, according to Ottawa Fire.
At least seven pump trucks, three ladder trucks, brush trucks and a number of ATVs have been assigned to battle the blaze near Carp and Hazeldean roads, Ottawa Fire Service said on Twitter.
A helicopter was also sent from Carp Airport to assist firefighters in dousing the flames. Fire officials said the helicopter will be dumping water on the areas of most concern.
More to come.
