A 40-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical condition after being thrown from his motorcycle Saturday afternoon.
Ottawa Paramedic Service said they were flagged down at about 3:48 p.m. in front of the Carlingwood Shopping Centre at 2121 Carling Ave., just after a collision occurred there between a small sedan and a motorcycle.
Paramedics said the motorcycle driver, a 40-year-old man, sustained major trauma to his chest, abdomen and legs, when he was thrown from his bike.
The victim was sent to the Ottawa Hospital trauma unit in critical condition. No information was given about possible injuries to others involved in the collision.
Ottawa Police are investigating the collision.
