Ottawa – Starting Monday June 16, 2014 the intersection at Carling Avenue and Richmond Road will be modified to include a new bus-only, left-turning lane from westbound Carling Avenue on to Richmond Road. There will be lane restrictions during off-peak hours between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

On Carling Avenue, there will be no lane reductions on the westbound lanes during the p.m. peak times. No lane reductions on the eastbound lanes during the a.m. and p.m. peak times. A minimum of two westbound lanes and a minimum of one eastbound lane will be open at all other times. All left auxiliary turn lanes in both directions will be open at off-peak times.

On Richmond Road, there will be no lane reductions during the a.m. or p.m. peak and a minimum of one lane in each direction will be open at all other times.

The project includes modifications to traffic signals, the relocation of existing street-lighting poles, and the resurfacing of the westbound portion from Alpine Avenue to Richmond Road.

This Ottawa on the Move project is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs. For more information visit ottawa.ca.
