A 17-year-old was stabbed at roughly 10:40 p.m. after getting into a kerfuffle with another male.
The victim received a minor slash wound to his calf, which was not considered life threatening. Paramedics treated him on scene at the Terry Fox Athletic Complex. The victim also refused to co-operate with the responding officers.
The slashing occurred in the Mooney’s Bay area, which is where the Tim Hortons Dragon Boat Festival took place this weekend.
Police say that they can’t confirm if the attack is related to the “festivities taking place at that venue.”
