Rain leads to road closures

The dump of rain Ottawa received Tuesday led to road closures on Tuesday evening.

The Highway 417 westbound on-ramp at Carp Road was closed and Woodroffe Avenue was closed from Norice Street to Knoxdale Avenue due to flooding, as of 10:45 p.m. Tuesday. The left shoulder and left lane at the Vanier Parkway westbound exit was also blocked from traffic.

Throughout the city, water from the day’s extensive rainfall pooled the streets.
