An Ottawa couple accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls over the Victoria Day weekend were granted bail Friday.
Caroline Budd, 20 and her boyfriend Anthony Comunale, 31, are each charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of forcible confinement.
They were each released on $2,000 bonds and several other conditions including a ban on communicating with each other and with their alleged victims.
They must live with family and adhere to nightly curfews.
There is a publication ban on evidence presented during bail hearings.
The identities of the complainants are also protected by a publication ban.
A trial date will be set later.
At the time of their arrests, police alleged that drugs and alcohol were involved in the incidents.
