The buses of two classic rock bands scheduled to play at Bluesfest next week caught fire Wednesday afternoon in a downtown Philadelphia parking lot.
Neither Styx nor Foreigner band members were in the vehicles when the first crew bus burst into flames, around noon.
Despite the incident, the bands will keep their spots in the Bluesfest lineup on Tuesday night, said Amanda Cagan, spokeswoman for Styx.
First the Styx crew bus caught fire before it spread to the Foreigner bus, Cagan wrote in an email.
“Both buses were damaged, I don’t know how badly or what was lost inside yet.”
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, she said, adding all buses for The Soundtrack of Summer tour were parked in a secure lot in downtown Philadelphia.
The tour’s next stop is in Camden, New Jersey, for a Thursday night show.
