Less than a week after severe weather caused significant damage in Pontiac, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the region warning severe thunderstorms could develop Monday.
The statement, which affects Pontiac and northern parts of Gatineau, warns a “vigorous weather system” is moving into Western Quebec.
Strong winds and humidity early in the day and a cold front later in the day could cause lines of thunderstorms that may produce 80 km/h winds, small hail and heavy downpours.
