Get ready to take cover, again, Ottawa.
Thunderstorms ahead of a cold front could cause severe weather this afternoon and early evening, according to Environment Canada.
The watch cautions that large hail, high winds and “torrential” rainfall could descend on most of Southern Ontario, including all of Ottawa. Gatineau is in the clear, at least for now.
This severe thunderstorm watch is the latest in a string of severe weather statements, watches and warnings from federal weather agency as summer’s muggiest months get underway.
