Construction for planned improvements to the intersection of Eagleson and Fernbank roads is set to begin Monday.
The southbound right-turn lane is being extended. This will alleviate the existing lane reduction on Eagleson Road south of Cope Drive, meaning two complete southbound lanes will accommodate traffic between Cope Drive and Fernbank Road.
No road closures are planned for construction work, although temporary lane reductions may be required, according to the city. Buses will run on schedule. Bike and pedestrian traffic will not be affected.
Construction is expected to continue until September.
