Police are reporting an increase in break-ins in Orleans, with 15 residential and 10 vehicle break-in incidents in the last three weeks.
According to police most of the east-end crimes were preventable.
People who leave their front doors unlocked or their garage doors open are creating an opportunity for crime.
Police arrested four people on break-and-entering charges in June, two of which came after neighbours called police to say they saw something.
People are cautioned to lock the doors to their homes and cars as a precaution, even when they’re at home.
