Ottawa – The City of Ottawa is providing an opportunity for older adults to explore the various city services that are available to them, at the Cumberland Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 19, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The Cumberland Farmers’ Market is located at the R.J. Kennedy Community Centre at 1115 Dunning Road, just 10 kilometres east of Place d’Orléans.
The City of Ottawa booths at the market will have staff on-hand to answer questions and share information on the various City services – ranging from active living to specific supports that meet the unique needs and choices of older adults.
The City stands committed to becoming an age-friendly and caring community that values the contributions of older adults. As a result, it has created an Older Adult Plan that will help enhance the quality of life of older adults in our community by improving access to essential supports, programs and services.
