Alcohol and drugs are believed to be a factor in a collision early Sunday morning, in La Pêche, which sent three teens to hospital with minor injuries, according to MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais.

Police said an investigation revealed that the three young men, aged 15, 16 and 18, had spent the evening consuming alcohol and drugs on board the Wakefield Raft, which is anchored on the Gatineau River.

It is alleged that the 18-year-old driver of the vehicle lost consciousness and ended up against a rock on the shoulder of the road. Officers are awaiting the results of the blood tests, but they said he may face charges of impaired driving and possession of narcotics.
