Ottawa – Mayor Jim Watson will be joined by Councillor Mark Taylor, Chair of the Community and Protective Services Committee and Ward Councillor Maria McRae to announce Ottawa’s successful bid to host a national sporting event in 2017.
Hosting this sporting event is another product of Ottawa’s "Bid More, Win More, Host More" strategy to attracting events that will promote our city on the national and world stage and generate increased tourism and business revenue.
Date: Thursday, July 17, 2014
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Terry Fox Athletic Facility, 2960 Riverside Drive
Photo Opportunity: Mayor Watson and both councillors will meet local athletes.
Parking is available onsite and a media box will be provided.
