Ottawa police are investigating after another man was shot in the leg Monday.
Police and paramedics were called to the Ritchie Street community housing development in the afternoon.
The victim himself called police. Witnesses said they heard one shot and saw a man point to his left leg.
Residents say they are concerned about shootings and want more cameras in the area.
There has been a spate of shootings recently in which victims have been wounded in the legs.
A man was shot in the legs Thursday night on Horsdal Private. Police have said they are looking for Mohamed Abdi Abdullahi, 31, who is facing charges in the incident. The victim in that case was apparently not connected to two other recent shootings where victims were also shot in the legs.
The site of Monday’s shooting is the same block where Malik Adjokatcher, a 24-year-old aspiring rapper, was gunned down last year.
