A man is dead after a fatal high-speed crash when his car hit a tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning in Gatineau.
Gatineau police said the man was pronounced dead at the accident, in front of 1827 Maloney Blvd. E.
The accident occurred at about 2:25 a.m.
“It’s a major impact for sure because it’s a 90-kilometre speed limit zone,” said Const. Pierre Lanthier.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
The road between Boulevard L’Aéroport and the Chauret Road is expected to be closed for a few more hours for a forensic investigation of the scene.
