A man in his 50s was sent to the hospital with a severe leg injury Wednesday afternoon after his bicycle was hit by a dumptruck at Bronson Avenue and Somerset Street.
The cyclist was trapped underneath a dumptruck before he was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, said Ottawa paramedics.
Traffic in the neighbourhood was rerouted for several hours due to the accident and investigation.
