A fire broke out at a Stittsville townhouse Thursday evening.
When Ottawa Fire Services arrived at the scene on Abaca Way shortly after 5:45 p.m., the fire was spreading to an attached unit. Crews were in “aggressive attack mode inside the units” in order to douse the flames, the fire service said.
They said that a thorough search of both units was done and all the residents made it out safely. No injuries have been reported. There has been significant damage to several of the units.
A section of Hazeldean Road, near Kittiwake Drive, has been closed to traffic as firefighters require the hydrants on Hazeldean Road for additional water supply.
