Ottawa – Beginning on Tuesday, July 29 southbound traffic along St. Laurent Boulevard will be reduced to one lane between Cyrville Road and Coventry Road. This is required to install a new watermain and undertake road renewal work. The lane reductions will be in place until the fall.
Significant traffic delays are expected in this area as a result of the work, and motorists are advised to explore alternative routes around the work zone. Access to Ogilvie Road will be through Cyrville Road. A signed detour will be in place for motorists travelling southbound on St. Laurent wishing to access Ogilvie Road.
Business remains open as usual in the area.
This construction activity is part of the Orléans Watermain Link project. Once completed, this link will improve the reliability of the water supply to the community and increase transmission capacity to accommodate future urban growth.
The Orléans Watermain Link West Project is an Ottawa on the Move project. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
