Starting Tuesday morning, soundbound drivers along St. Laurent Boulevard can expect significant traffic delays for a months-long lane reduction.
The busy east-end thoroughfare will be reduced to one lane southbound between Cyrville and Coventry roads at least until autumn.
The City of Ottawa suggests drivers take alternate routes around the construction zone, including access to Ogilvie Road through Cyrville Road.
Drivers should watch for special posted signs leading to the detour.
The work is part of a Orléans Watermain Link project which aims to improve the access to water supply to Orléans.
