Ontario Provincial Police closed a section of the westbound Highway 401 west of Napanee on Tuesday afternoon after a fatal accident.
Officers responded to a serious crash just west of Shannonville around 3:40 p.m. that killed at least one person.
Two passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer were involved. The crash also resulted in “serious injuries”, but the OPP not confirm how many other people were injured.
Traffic was rerouted between Marysville Road and Highway 37 at Belleville while police investigated.
