A man was stabbed outside of the Embassy Hotel and Suites at 25 Cartier Street early Wednesday morning at 1 a.m.
According to reports, the victim was fighting with an acquaintance before being stabbed.
Paramedics arriving at the scene found a man with several stab wounds and he was taken to the Civic campus of Ottawa Hospital.
He is listed in critical condition.
Police arrested a man two hours later.
Investigators are still at the scene, and charges are pending.
