Highway 17 closed at accident scene

Ontario Provincial Police said a collision that sent two people to hospital with life-threatening injuries closed part of Highway 17 Sunday morning.

The accident at Doran Road in Pembroke involved a tractor-trailer and sport-utility vehicle.

The Trans-Canada Highway was closed in both directions between Black Bay and Forest Lee.

OPP were still on scene and were setting up detours for travellers.

Police were not yet releasing further information about the crash.
