Two people died Sunday night after a personal watercraft crashed into rocks near Dow Island in Petawawa, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
Police received the call just after 10:15 p.m.
Zachary Lapointe, 20, and Tiffany Burgess, 25, both from Petawawa, were pronounced dead when fire, paramedic and military police arrived on scene.
The OPP’s upper Ottawa valley detachment and marine unit are investigating.
