Motorcyclist, 24, dead after collision in Barrhaven

A 24-year-old motorcyclist is dead following a collision Thursday evening in Barrhaven, according to Ottawa Paramedic Service.

Paramedics were called to the scene in the Strandherd Drive and Jockvale Road area around 9:45 p.m.

Ottawa police said roads in the area will be closed as investigators try to determine how the collision happened. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
