A 48-year-old Orléans man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Bancroft, about 220 kilometres west of Ottawa.
Ontario Provincial Police said they began an investigation after the victim came forward on Aug. 6.
On the same day, police arrested Richard Bégin, 48, and charged him with sexual assaulting a person under the age of 16 and sexual interference.
Begin was released from police custody on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 23.
